ROOM WITHOUT NAME

The project's conception, Room Without Name, invites us to explore creativity. It seeks to combine functionality and design in a versatile space. The goal is to design a multifunctional environment without physical walls, achieving a coherent distribution through heights, furniture, and colors.

The inspiration for this project is found in the Bauhaus style, seeking a balance between elegance and creativity. Simple geometries, primary colors, and minimalist designs give the space character without falling into monotony. In addition, the design takes Javier Mariscal's Dúplex stool as a reference, alluding to the sculpture "Elementos Primarios" (Primary Elements).

The house revolves around a Central module that acts as the organizing axis and heart of the space. This module is responsible for separating the four main areas of the second floor. It is designed to hide three essential situations in the most homogeneous way: the stairs, the kitchen, and the complete bathroom. Its design seeks to maximize functionality and maintain a uniform aesthetic, integrating these elements without interrupting the flow of the space. Under the staircase is the hidden kitchen, and under the lowest steps is the storage needed for everyday use. The complete bathroom is located on the module's other side and accessible through a sliding door.

On the first floor, the layout is organized around the central module. Upon entering, we find the entrance area connecting directly to the kitchen and bar. Following a circular path, you reach an area of shelves like a library, which communicates with the living room. The living room is conceived as a relaxing space with sofas and rest areas. The circuit is completed by returning to the starting point, creating a continuous flow in the room.

The bar is another of the main elements of the design. It features a triangular shape emphasizing the play of geometries - circle and triangle - seen throughout the house. Beneath the (yellow) countertop of the bar, the support tube includes pivoting storage and is designed to swivel for easy access to utensils. Javier Mariscal's Dúplex stools would be located in the bar area.

In the living room, the sofas are designed to blend in with the space. When not used, they appear as part of a container piece of furniture. This piece of furniture contains an eighth of a circle in each part. If a functional seat is needed, one of these parts is removed from the furniture and placed on the floor, by unfolding another eighth part, a quarter of a circle is formed, ideal for lying down.

From the central module, stairs lead to the second floor. This upper level houses a sleeping area and an office. It is designed to be a more private retreat, combining comfort and functionality in a cozy atmosphere. This space is versatile and transforms as needed. The space becomes a spacious and bright office when the bed is tucked into the storage unit. When the bed is folded, the office table becomes a functional leg, holding it at an optimal height to ensure comfort and stability.

In short, Room Without Name represents an interior design that uses differentiated heights, modular furniture, and a primary color palette to create a dynamic and unique space without the limitations of physical walls.
